A recent research at Yale university showed that woman are equal or more ignorant than their male partners regarding how to get pregnant.
Myth 1 - Nearly 50 % women surveyed thought that having sex more than once per day would increase the chances of becoming pregnant,
Truth - Research doesn't support this idea. The study points out that a man's sperm count actually decreases if he ejaculates more than once a day.
Myth 2 - Nearly 50% of those woman surveyed thought that certain sexual positions would make them more likely to conceive.
or help them have a male child.
Truth - Research doesn't support that either. Regardless of the position, the study says, sperm reach the cervix within minutes.
Its the sperm that decides the sex of a baby.
Myth 3 - Woman didn't know about their Fertile Window.
Many thought having sex after their ovulation would help them get pregnant.
Truth - The study notes that a woman's "fertile window" is the six days leading up to and including the day of ovulation, and the chances of conceiving with intercourse after ovulation are slim.
Myth 4 - Women who either already had children or were pregnant at the time of the survey. Still, two-thirds of them still answered the ovulation question incorrectly.
(they wrongly thought that sexual intercourse after ovulation was better for pregnancy)
Truth- Researchers say many women get pregnant despite misunderstanding ovulation or even their own body.
